Benefits
What you get when you work with us — stated plainly.
This page describes what Anjung Rekod does differently and why those differences matter for Sarawak families dealing with retirement records.
Back to Home01 — What We Offer
Six things that make a difference
Each of these is relevant to the specific situation Sarawak families face when working through retirement records.
Sessions in five languages
English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Hokkien and Iban — all by arrangement. Older clients in particular should not need to navigate paperwork in a language they are less comfortable with.
- Language chosen at booking
- In-person or video sessions
- Written summary in the session language
Sarawak-specific records knowledge
We know the difference between documents held at state level and those at federal level. This matters because many families in Sarawak have records spread across both systems.
- State vs federal office clarity
- Sarawak civil service record pathways
- Published procedures cited for each item
Courier support for distant towns
Families in Sibu, Miri and Bintulu can send documents by courier and meet by video. Originals are insured in transit and returned within five working days of receipt.
- Sibu: 2 working days courier
- Miri and Bintulu: 3 working days
- Insured handling throughout
Clear boundary on what we do
We prepare request letters for your signature. We do not submit them, we do not contact authorities on your behalf, and we do not assess your entitlement to anything. This boundary is stated clearly from the start.
- Letters prepared for you to sign
- No agency or representation
- No handling of client money
Encrypted archive and controlled access
In the family programme, the digital archive is encrypted and shared only with named family members. Originals are returned. We do not keep copies beyond the agreed period.
- Up to four named family members
- Encrypted storage
- No indefinite data retention
Written output every time
Every session produces a written summary — not a verbal briefing you may misremember later. In the family programme, a closing handover pack is prepared in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Summary of what is present and missing
- Office references for each item
- Bilingual handover pack (family programme)
02 — In More Detail
Each benefit, explained
Experience with Sarawak records
Our team has worked with government-issued documents in Sarawak for many years. We know that records from the Sarawak civil service follow different pathways from records under federal employment, and that both may be relevant within one household. We do not apply a peninsular-focused template to a Sarawak situation.
When we review documents, we can usually identify quickly which office issued each one, what related documents typically accompany it, and what the current published request procedure involves.
Secure handling from start to finish
Documents sent by courier are insured throughout transit. Once with us, they are scanned at archival quality and the originals are returned within five working days. Digital copies in the family programme are encrypted and access is limited to named family members only.
We do not keep digital copies beyond the period described in your service agreement. There is no indefinite cloud storage of your family's personal records.
Patient, respectful service
Retirement paperwork can feel overwhelming, particularly for older clients or those managing a parent's documents from a different town. We take our time. Sessions are ninety minutes; if more time is needed, we note what was covered and can schedule a follow-up.
Phone support is included during office hours in the remote arrangement. We return calls and messages within one working day.
Transparent pricing, no hidden costs
Our three services have stated prices: RM 500 for a Records Review Meeting, RM 1,600 for the three-month Remote Paperwork Support, and RM 4,100 for the nine-month Whole-Family Archive Programme. These fees cover our time and the services described.
Government fees for requesting documents — where they apply — are paid directly by you to the relevant office. We note those costs when they are published; we do not collect them on your behalf.
A clearer picture at the end
After a Records Review Meeting, you leave with a written summary. After the family programme, you have a printed index, an encrypted digital archive and a closing handover pack in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
We do not promise outcomes — those depend on the relevant authorities and on your individual situation. What we can say is that after working with us, families have a clearer picture of what they hold, what they may need, and where to go to get it.
03 — Comparison
How this differs from typical alternatives
Families dealing with retirement records often try to handle everything alone, ask a general administrative service, or rely on informal advice. Here is how those approaches compare with what Anjung Rekod offers.
| Feature | Typical approaches | Anjung Rekod |
|---|---|---|
| Sessions in Iban or Hokkien | Rarely | By arrangement |
| Sarawak state vs federal records knowledge | Often not covered | Core to what we do |
| Written summary of documents reviewed | Verbal only, usually | Every session |
| Courier support for upriver towns | Not offered | Sibu, Miri, Bintulu |
| Clear scope — does not represent clients | Often unclear | Stated from the start |
| Insured document handling | Not standard | Included in courier service |
| Fixed, transparent pricing | Often hourly or unclear | RM 500 / 1,600 / 4,100 |
04 — What Sets Us Apart
Features you will not find elsewhere
Sarawak document board
We maintain an internal reference noting which retirement-related records are held by Sarawak state offices and which by federal offices — updated when published procedures change. Clients benefit from this reference directly in their written summary.
Travel panel for distant families
Families in Sibu, Miri and Bintulu get a dedicated briefing on how remote sessions work, how documents travel by courier, and what typical handling times look like for their town.
Interpreter note included
Session summaries note the language used in the meeting. Where a family member joins who speaks a different language, we note it and can provide the written summary in more than one language where practical.
Multi-location family programme
The nine-month programme is designed for households with members in different towns. Online briefing sessions mean family members in Miri, Sibu or elsewhere can join the same meeting as those in Kuching.

06 — Take the First Step
Ready to look at what you have?
A Records Review Meeting takes ninety minutes. Afterwards, you have a written summary. That is often enough to know what to do next.
