These terms govern your use of our website and your engagement with Anjung Rekod's services. Please read them at your own pace. If anything is unclear, contact us at [email protected] before proceeding.
1. Definitions
- "Anjung Rekod", "we", "us", "our" — the documentation support service operating from 72 Jalan Padungan, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
- "You", "the client", "the user" — any person who accesses our website or engages our services.
- "Services" — the Records Review Meeting, Remote Paperwork Support, and Whole-Family Archive Programme, as described on this website.
- "Agreement" — these terms, together with any written service agreement or booking confirmation provided to you.
- "Documents" — the personal or family records you provide to us for review.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. You must be aged 18 or above and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person — such as an elderly parent — you confirm that you have authority to do so and to provide their documents to us.
3. Description of services
Anjung Rekod provides documentation support services as follows:
- Records Review Meeting (RM 500): A ninety-minute session reviewing documents you hold, producing a written summary of what is present, what appears to be missing, and which office issues each item.
- Remote Paperwork Support (RM 1,600): A three-month arrangement including video sessions, insured courier document handling, scanning, request letter preparation and phone support.
- Whole-Family Archive Programme (RM 4,100): A nine-month programme consolidating household retirement and identity records into a printed index and encrypted digital archive.
Services are available primarily in Sarawak, Malaysia. Remote sessions are available by video call for clients elsewhere.
4. Scope and limitations of services
You acknowledge and agree that Anjung Rekod:
- Organises and reviews documents and explains published procedures. We do not give legal, financial or medical advice.
- Prepares request letters for your signature. We do not submit these letters or contact any authority on your behalf.
- Does not assess or opine on your entitlement to any benefit, pension or financial arrangement.
- Does not handle money on your behalf. Any fees payable to government offices are paid directly by you.
- Does not guarantee any particular outcome from the submission of documents to any authority.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when contacting us and during service delivery.
- Ensure that documents you provide belong to you or that you have authority to share them.
- Attend or join scheduled sessions at the agreed time. Rescheduling requires at least 24 hours' notice.
- Use this website and our services for lawful purposes only.
6. Payment terms
- Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are payable before the commencement of each service.
- Payment methods are confirmed in the booking confirmation.
- For the Remote Paperwork Support and the Whole-Family Archive Programme, payment schedules may be agreed in advance. Details will be set out in the service agreement.
- Fees paid are for our time and the services described. They do not include government fees payable directly by you to any office.
7. Cancellation and refunds
- Cancellation of a Records Review Meeting with more than 48 hours' notice: full refund.
- Cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice: a session fee of RM 150 is retained to cover preparation time.
- For multi-month programmes, a pro-rated refund may be available for unused service months. This will be calculated at the time of cancellation based on work completed.
- Refunds are processed within fourteen working days by the same method used for payment.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, layout and design — is the property of Anjung Rekod. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written permission. Written summaries and handover packs prepared for you as part of a service are for your personal use and the use of your named family members only.
9. Documents and confidentiality
We treat all documents and personal information shared with us as confidential. We do not share your documents with any third party except the courier service used to return them, and only to the extent necessary for delivery. We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
Our services are provided in good faith based on the documents you share and the published procedures available at the time of the session. We do not warrant that published procedures are current at any given date, as these may change without notice. We do not accept responsibility for outcomes arising from your use of the request letters or other output we prepare for your signature.
This website is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be free from errors or interruptions.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Anjung Rekod's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fee paid for the specific service to which the claim relates. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses of any kind.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate a service agreement by written notice. Where we terminate without cause, we will refund fees for any services not yet delivered. Where you terminate, the refund terms in Section 7 apply. We reserve the right to decline or terminate a service engagement if we reasonably believe that the documents or information provided to us are false or that the engagement is being used for an unlawful purpose.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We will attempt to resolve any disagreement informally before formal proceedings. Please contact us at [email protected] in the first instance.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. If you have an active service agreement with us, we will notify you by email of any material changes before they take effect.
