02 — Our Services

Three ways we can help

We organise paperwork, explain published procedures in plain language and coordinate appointments. We do not act on anyone's behalf before any authority, do not advise on individual entitlement, and do not handle money for clients.

Records Review Meeting

Records Review Meeting

A ninety-minute meeting — in Kuching or by video call — where we review what documents you hold and produce a written summary noting what is present, what appears to be missing, and which office issues each item.

  • Written summary provided after the session
  • Available in English, BM, Mandarin, Hokkien or Iban
  • Cites published procedures — no personal opinions on entitlement

03 — Why Anjung Rekod

What sets our work apart

Sessions in your language

We can hold sessions in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Hokkien or Iban by arrangement. You should not need an interpreter to understand your own paperwork.

Built for Sarawak families

We know which records are held by state offices and which by federal offices. We know the difference between documents relevant to Sarawak residents and those from the peninsular system.

Remote access for upriver towns

Families in Sibu, Miri and Bintulu can use our insured courier arrangement. Typical courier days: Sibu 2 days, Miri 3 days, Bintulu 3 days. Video sessions replace in-person meetings.

Plain language — no pressure

We explain what a document is for, where it comes from, and what is typically needed next — in short sentences, without jargon. We do not push you toward any particular course of action.

Secure document handling

Originals sent by courier are handled with insured care. Digital copies are stored in an encrypted archive. We do not retain originals beyond the agreed return period.

Whole-family coordination

Our family programme lets members in different towns join the same briefing online. The closing handover pack is prepared in English and Bahasa Malaysia so every family member has a clear record.

04 — Next Step

Not sure where to begin?

A Records Review Meeting is often the first step. We look at what you have, tell you what appears to be missing, and note where each item can be obtained — without any commitment beyond that session.

Office hours: Monday–Friday 9 am–5 pm, Saturday 9 am–1 pm

05 — Common Questions

Questions we hear most often

This page covers what we do and how the process works. If your question is not here, please call or write to us.

What exactly does a Records Review Meeting cover? +
We look at the documents you bring or send us. We prepare a written list showing which documents you have, which appear to be missing, and which office is the correct source for each. We explain the published procedure for requesting each item. We do not tell you whether you are entitled to any particular benefit, and we do not contact offices on your behalf.
I live in Miri. Can I still use your services? +
Yes. We offer video sessions and a courier arrangement for clients outside Kuching. Documents sent to us from Miri typically take three working days each way. We handle originals with insured care and scan and return everything within five working days of receiving them. Details are set out in our Remote Paperwork Support service.
Do you speak Iban or Hokkien? +
Sessions can be arranged in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Hokkien or Iban. Please let us know your preference when you contact us. If you need a language we have not listed, ask — we will try to find an arrangement that works.
What is the difference between state and federal offices for retirement records in Sarawak? +
Sarawak has its own state public service records held by state agencies, separate from federal agencies that administer national retirement schemes. Some documents — such as certain pension and provident fund records — are kept by federal bodies, while employment histories in certain sectors are held at state level. We explain where each type of record sits and note the published contact for each office.
Will you contact the government or any authority on my behalf? +
No. We prepare request letters for you to sign and send yourself. We explain the published procedure and note the correct address. Acting as an agent or representative before any authority is outside what we do, and we are clear about that boundary from the first conversation.
How much do the services cost? +
The Records Review Meeting is RM 500. Remote Paperwork Support for a three-month period is RM 1,600. The Whole-Family Archive Programme over nine months is RM 4,100. These fees cover our time and the services described — they do not include any government fees payable directly to issuing offices.
Are my documents kept safely? +
Originals sent by courier are handled under insured cover. Digital copies are stored in an encrypted file. We do not keep originals beyond the period set out in your service agreement. The digital archive in the family programme is shared only with the named family members you specify.
